Croatan Presbyterian Church

• Through the regular giving of church members, supporting the work of the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina and the mission of the whole Presbyterian Church (USA).

• Regular and systematic collections of food and clothing for Religious Community Services in New Bern.

• Monthly Special Assistance Offering to help the needy in our community.

• Development and leadership given for a baseball team for elementary age children in the church and community (The Croatan Bucks).

• Use of our facilities for other groups (Brownies, Jr. Civitans, Local Homeowners Associations)

• Organized to provide emergency services to the community in disaster relief (tornados, hurricanes, fires).

• Oversight through a separate board of the Croatan Community Cemetery.

• Two denominational offerings each year--Joy Gift at Christmas for Racial-Ethnic Schools and Surviving Dependents of Deceased Ministers; The One Great Hour of Sharing (for disaster relief through the Interdenominational Church World Service).

• Participation in the annual CROP Walk to stamp out hunger.

• A Vacation Bible School each summer which seeks to include children from the community as well as the church.

• An active youth program, which includes youths from the community as well as the church.

• Each year our Presbyterian Women’s group holds a Blanket Drive, raising funds to purchase special blankets through Church World Service to be used in disaster relief worldwide.
